Omega Scout
In 2012, Tipping Point Initiative partnered with Brown Hutcherosn Ministries and Omega Psi Phi fraternity to charter a scout troop in Southeast Grand Rapids. Where there is a long history of scouting in America, there are not many troops serving young men of color, especially in Grand Rapids. The Omega Scouts now boasts a vibrant and diverse scout troop serving children from aged 5 to 18.
Chinook Project
Chinook is a program for high school and college-age young men of color to partner with established professionals for mentoring. The idea behind the program is for them to get advice, and learn about shared experiences.

Cascade Engineering
Cascade Engineering is involved in community programs that support inclusion and diversity. They work with TPI to address systemic racism. Cascade Engineering is a strong partner for TPI’s expungement work.
Grand Rapids Boulé
The Grand Rapids Boulé’s mission is to aid the community by leading and supporting initiatives that benefit Black youth, families, and communities. The Boulé partners with TPI by providing strategic vision leadership and volunteering on TPI projects.
Brown Hutcherson Church
Brown Hutcherson has partnered with Tipping Point since it inception and has proved the meeting place for the Omega Scouts.
Black Queen Bee Honey
Black Queen Bee is a family-run business, they is passionate about local, raw honey and committed to educating our community about the art and science of beekeeping. TPI partners with Black Queen Honey to help their mission to have a positive impact on our environment and to support Black own small businesses in Grand Rapids.
Omega Life Membership Foundation
The mission of the OLMF is to grow, preserve and prudently manage the financial resources the education, leadership development and charitable programs like the TPI. It has supported TPI for years and continues to help TPI’s programs to grow.
Omega Psi Phi, Iota Pi, Chapter
Iota Pi chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is committed to improving the health, economic, and social well-being of individuals within their respective communities. Omega Psi Phi has been an essential partner by providing the leadership to the Omega Scout Troop and Pack.
